2008-Onward

After returning home to his “Writing Rock” on Fort Myers Beach in July of 2008 from a great conference in New York City called ThrillerFest 2008, he decided to apply his efforts to a new book he’d been taking notes on since 1999. Several authors at the conference liked the “what if” he’d developed to describe the heart of the proposed book, motivating him to put his half completed Book III in the Ancestor Series away for a while.

Tentative Title: The Apothecary

Here’s the what if: What if a demented rogue researcher used nanotechnology to develop designer drugs that were easily and economically manufactured, the size of baby Aspirin, harmless to health, outside regulatory jurisdiction, and suited to mass marketing? And that’s where it started. What happens before and after is going to make a dynamic compelling story. Marshall hopes to have the book ready for publication near the end of 2012.

Book III of the Ancestor Series of Adventure-thrillers

Book III, entitled The Volcano and the Shaft, had been outlined and about half drafted. Completing the first draft will commence after The Apothecary has been published.
